About Us

Curtis Cook, Principal Designer and Owner of Cook Residential Design, is an Army veteran, father, and innovative designer. Immediately after completing his military obligation in 1986, Curtis won a position as a Draftsman for an architecture firm in Bell County, Texas. He quickly became the firm’s primary residential designer and in 1989, Curtis opened his own design firm, Curtis Cook Residential Designs. Under this banner, Curtis forged the design firm’s reputation for excellence by designing elegant, custom homes for clients with discriminating tastes.

In 2012, Curtis’ son, Andrew, joined the design firm. Like Curtis, Andrew learned the trade quickly and gained the experience and know-how needed to grow into a talented designer in his own right. The pair re-branded Curtis Cook Residential Designs in late 2018. Curtis Cook Residential Designs is now Cook Residential Design. Working side by side with his father, Andrew stands ready to carry the torch into the future.

“Our design firm provides a full range of design services. We are well known for creative design, quality construction documents, and service. Our detailed, organized process ensures a smooth transition from initial design consultation to completed construction documents.” – Andrew Cook, Associate Designer.

“Delivering an exceptional client experience will always be the central goal of our design firm. It is what we are built on. We have been rewarded by our clients with a history of repeat commissions and the forming of life long relationships.” – Curtis Cook, Principal Designer/Owner.

We don’t espouse a particular style. Each project is as unique in site and composition as our clients. We strive to create individualistic, site specific, home designs and provide a one-of-a-kind experience for each client. Our design firm pays special attention to appropriate design, use of quality materials, and well thought-out details.
